Carlos joined Han Group LLC in 2013, beginning his specialization in nonprofit accounting and quickly becoming a trusted advisor to tax-exempt organizations. During his initial tenure, he provided audit and tax services to a diverse portfolio of nonprofit clients, developing deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and organizational operations.
He later expanded his perspective through leadership roles in the nonprofit sector, serving as Director of Financial Reporting at American University and as head of finance and operations for a national nonprofit organization based in Virginia. These roles provided firsthand experience navigating the financial and operational challenges faced by mission-driven organizations.
Carlos returned to Han Group LLC to lead the firm’s Client Accounting & Advisory Services practice. He works closely with executive leadership and boards to enhance financial reporting, strengthen internal processes, and support informed decision-making. He is a frequent presenter at Han Group LLC webinars and regularly speaks at AICPA and state society conferences on nonprofit accounting and advisory topics. His work focuses on building scalable financial infrastructure that positions organizations for long-term sustainability and growth.
