Nancy is a partner at Han Group and joined Han Group in 2023. Nancy has been serving the nonprofit sector for over 30 years. She is a proven industry leader in audit, accounting, and tax within the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining Han Group, Nancy worked for UHY LLP and KPMG specializing in nonprofit audits and has worked with many charitable entities, religious organizations, membership associations and federally funded nonprofits.

While specializing in audits and accounting for nonprofits, she also has an expertise in completing Form 990 tax returns for exempt organizations. Her background includes auditing a wide variety of membership organizations of all sizes and regularly consults with clients on revenue recognition.

Nancy’s experience includes supervising audits that are in accordance with the Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), generally accepted auditing standards, and the requirements of Uniform Guidance and maintains more than the required yellow book and other continuing professional education necessary to perform such engagements. In addition, she has engaged in advisory services to start-up nonprofits, training courses, and frequently presents financial results and recommendations to Board of Directors.

Nancy is committed to continuing professional education and keeps current on industry standards and new developments; attending courses, seminars, and meetings related to accounting, reporting, and taxes. Nancy enjoys developing training courses and articles to keep our staff and clients abreast of the latest new requirements and changes.

Responsibilities

Nancy will maintain client contact and monitor the audit progress and the punctuality of all deliverables to the client. She works closely with management and the Board of Directors to ensure client service expectations are met. Nancy makes final decisions on audit issues and signs the financial reports, which she will present to the Board of Directors. Nancy stays accessible to the team and to clients for any questions/concerns during the year.
