Jennifer has spent the past 20 years of her career serving the nonprofit community.
As managing principal of Han Group, she now leads a dynamic team of professionals with a track record of providing service to local, national, and international nonprofit clients.
Jennifer prides herself both on being accessible to each of her clients and on communicating with them in understandable language. She stays ahead of current trends in nonprofit accounting, reporting, and taxes through continuous education and is committed to maintaining the highest level of integrity in her client work.
Jennifer frequently serves as an instructor on emerging accounting and auditing issues in the nonprofit sector and is often asked to make presentations to audit committees and boards of directors. In addition, she actively participates in a mentoring program at Georgetown University, and serves as a board member of the Nanum Foundation.
In addition to providing audit and tax preparation services for her nonprofit clients, Jennifer offers strategic outsourcing and consulting services, including serving in interim CFO roles, providing complete accounting services, and reviewing budgeting processes. She has conducted audits in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, International Standards, Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book), and the OMB Circular A-133.
Background
Before founding Han Group in 2008, Jennifer worked at Ernst & Young in McLean, Virginia and co-founded a regional firm, where she served as Director of Audit and Assurance Services. Jennifer earned her B.S. in Accounting from Georgetown University and holds her certified public accountant licenses from the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Virginia, and New York, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and American Society of Association Executives.
