The Challenge: Board of Directors Left in the Dark

Its Board of Directors, made up of 13 women legislators from across the country, was losing confidence in the management team and in the auditors they had chosen. The Board never received any advice, recommendations, or finding from the previous audits, which was causing serious concern.

In addition to performing the audit, Han Group staff identified ways the nonprofit’s internal controls were lacking and made recommendations on how to improve them. The Board now feels they have the tools needed to make the internal controls even stronger, setting their entire organization on the path toward stability.
