Han Group has been headquartered in Washington, D.C. since our founding. This is where the firm started, where our longest client relationships live, and where our partners participate directly in the local nonprofit and association community. The trade associations and membership organizations concentrated along the K Street and Dupont Circle corridor represent our deepest client base, and that practice grew out of this office.

Jennifer Han. CPA.

Managing Partner.

Jennifer founded Han Group in 2008 with a singular conviction: a CPA firm could build a stronger practice by serving nonprofits exclusively than by spreading across industries. Eighteen years later, the firm she started in a single Washington, D.C. office has grown to three locations, eight partners, and more than 500 nonprofit clients.

She leads the firm’s strategic direction and remains the primary point of contact for client relationships, setting the standard for the partner-driven engagement model the firm is known for. She holds CPA licenses in the District of Columbia, New York, and Virginia, and was named to Forbes America’s Best-In-State CPAs in 2026.

Our DC client base skews heavily toward trade associations and membership organizations, given the district’s concentration of 501(c)(6) entities, alongside foundations, national nonprofit headquarters, and organizations with significant federal grant funding.

Yes. Han Group’s DC-based CPAs hold active licensure with the DC Board of Accountancy, maintained directly rather than through reciprocity alone.

DC’s role as the seat of federal policy has concentrated an unusually high density of trade associations, national charity headquarters, and federal-grant-dependent nonprofits in one metro area, creating sustained local demand for accounting expertise in dues-revenue recognition, lobbying disclosure, and Uniform Guidance compliance specifically.
